AFIAP

The AFIAP is the Artist of the Federation Internationale De L’art Photographique. It’s the baseline distinction for this organisation. Firstly you must have your FIAP card. You need to be a member of a club that is part of the PAGB, at the time I was a member of Ashford Photographic Society which is part of the KCPA which is part of PAGB. I needed to have gained a minimum of 40 acceptances from 15 different images in FIAP recognised salons.  These salons need to have been in eight separate countries with 4 of the images gaining acceptances in print. The apply you need to submit a portfolio of evidence to the liaison officer in January. This portfolio includes your demographic data, details of your images that have been accepted in a spreadsheet arranged alphabetically, you need to supply a CD of contact prints of all the images you have every had accepted, lastly you need to supply in large size 5 images that have received at least 3 acceptances. The images below are the 5 images i used as a portfolio. They are not my best 5, they simply just fulfil the award criteria, and more importantly do not stop me from using better images for the next distinction.
